The agreement
Terms of service for PracticeSheet
The rules that govern your studio's use of PracticeSheet, written to be read once and understood. In force since March 2, 2026.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms form a binding agreement between MLJ, SASU, publisher of PracticeSheet, and the studio, school or individual teacher that opens an account. By creating an account, by inviting a teacher to your studio, or by continuing to use the service after a change to these terms, you accept them on behalf of yourself and of the organization you represent. If you are agreeing on behalf of a music school, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
2. What the service is
PracticeSheet is a web application for private music teachers and music schools. It stores a student roster, lesson notes, weekly practice assignments with tempo and repetition targets, practice logs entered by students or families, repertoire history, and a read-only weekly summary page that can be shared with a parent or guardian by link. It is a record keeping and communication tool. It is not a payment processor, not a tuition invoicing system, not a student information system for accredited institutions, and it does not give musical instruction.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least eighteen years old to open an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, for keeping your password confidential, and for everything that happens under your credentials. Teacher logins are personal and may not be shared between two people; the Studio Plus and Music School plans exist precisely so that additional teachers get their own access. Tell us promptly at jimenezjulien42@gmail.com if you believe an account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use PracticeSheet to store data unrelated to teaching, to upload unlawful or abusive material, to attempt to access another studio's records, to probe or interfere with the security of the service, to resell access, or to build a competing product from data you extract. Automated scraping of the application is not permitted. We may suspend an account that puts the service or other customers at risk, and where the circumstances allow we will tell you before we do it.
5. Subscriptions, prices and billing
PracticeSheet is sold on three monthly plans in United States dollars: Studio Solo at $15 per month for up to 25 active students, Studio Plus at $39 per month for up to 75 active students and two teacher logins, and Music School at $99 per month for up to 400 active students with unlimited teacher logins. Every plan is billed monthly in advance. There is no setup fee, no minimum term, no per student charge and no percentage taken from your tuition.
Prices are shown exclusive of any sales tax or VAT that may apply to your location; where such tax is due it is added to the invoice. If your roster grows past the limit of your plan, we tell you inside the application and you choose whether to move up; a plan change takes effect immediately and the difference is prorated on the following invoice. We may change published prices with at least thirty days' written notice, and an existing subscription keeps its current price until the end of the notice period.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time from your studio settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and the service stays available until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate a partial month on cancellation. If we materially reduce a feature you rely on and you cancel within thirty days of that change, write to us and we will refund the month in question. Accounts closed for breach of section 4 are not refunded.
7. Your data belongs to you
Student rosters, lesson notes, assignments, practice logs and repertoire history entered into PracticeSheet remain the property of your studio. We process that content only to run the service for you, to keep backups, and to produce aggregated and anonymized usage statistics that can never identify a studio, a teacher, a student or a family. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to train models. You may export your records as CSV or PDF at any time, and they stay downloadable for sixty days after an account closes, after which they are deleted permanently.
Where the data concerns a minor, your studio is the controller and you confirm that you hold the necessary parent or guardian agreement. MLJ, SASU acts as your processor and follows your documented instructions.
8. Availability and support
We aim for 99.5 percent monthly availability outside announced maintenance windows, and we publish planned maintenance at least three days ahead. Maintenance is scheduled away from evening teaching hours in North American time zones wherever possible, and never during the two weeks around a customer's declared recital date if you tell us when that is. Support is by email at jimenezjulien42@gmail.com, answered within one business day on every plan.
9. Warranty disclaimer
PracticeSheet is provided as it stands. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a purpose you have not told us about, and we do not warrant that using it will improve a student's practice habits or retain a family. Statistics published on this website describe results observed across participating studios and are not a promise about yours.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of MLJ, SASU arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost tuition, lost students, loss of goodwill, or indirect or consequential damage. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify MLJ, SASU against claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from content you place in the service, from your breach of these terms, or from your failure to obtain the parent or guardian agreements that your local law requires before recording information about a minor.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or to the law. Material changes are announced by email to the account owner at least thirty days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page is updated. If you do not accept a change, cancel before it takes effect and the current terms govern your final month.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France. Nothing here deprives a consumer of the protection of mandatory rules in their country of residence.
